- What is Panolog Cream used for?
This product is a combination antimicrobial and corticosteroid indicated in the management of dermatological disorders characterized by inflammation or dry exudative dermatitis, particularly those caused by bacterial or candidal infections, in cats and dogs. It is also used for eczema, seborrhea and contact dermatitis and as an adjunct in the treatment of dermatitis due to parasite infestation.
- How Panolog Cream should be used?
The administration of this product depends on the severity of the condition. Prior to application, the affected area(s) should be clean. Application may range from once a day to once a week for mild conditions or up to 2 or 3 times a day for severe conditions. Consult your veterinarian.
- What are the side effects?
Side effects following the use of injected or oral corticosteroids include increased thirst and urination. Vomiting and diarrhea have also been observed. Cushing’s syndrome has been reported with prolonged or repeated steroid therapy. Temporary hearing loss has been reported in conjunction with the treatment of otitis. However, the effects were reversible following withdrawal of the drug.
- What special precautions are there?
Do not use in animals allergic to this medication or any of the individual components. Do not use in the eyes. If hearing loss is noted, discontinue the medication. Discontinue use if sensitivity to neomycin which may cause redness, irritation and swelling occurs.

Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.
- How should I store Panolog Cream?
Store this medication at room temperature. Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and pets.
