Adopt a Cattle Dog / Mixed

VERY ACTIVE AND ALERT:  3 years old / 54 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I’m a friendly and active girl who loves to be on the go which is typical of my breed, so I’m looking for a family that will be active with me!  Perhaps we could try some agility training or Frisbee?  Or maybe you’re a runner and would like a buddy?  Regardless of the activity, I’d like a job or regular exercise of some sort to keep my mind and body busy.  I pull a little on the leash and am in training for that now as well as other basic commands, so hopefully, I’ll know lots of things soon.  I do know ‘sit’, so I’m off to a good start.  I love the volunteers that come to take care of me while I wait for my forever family to find me.  They are very nice and I’m friendly with them and love their close contact.  I think I’ll like toys too as I seem to have a high play drive.  I haven’t liked any other dogs at the MM facility and have not wanted to be around them, so a home with no other pets is what I’m looking for.  If I get too close to other dogs, I tend to lash out and I don’t want to give anyone a redirection bite.  I don’t think I should live with cats either.  I’m very food motivated, so that’s a great tool to use when you’re training me new things.  I love people a lot, so I sometimes get excited and jump on them, and sometimes get a little mouthy when excited, so a home with much older dog savvy kids will be best for me, also because of my reactions to other animals. And higher energy level.  My potty manners have been very good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will translate to potty trained in a home.  Best no apartment or condo type home, due to the close nature of the buildings and walkways, since I don’t like other pets. Energy level: 6-8.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.
