Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Nigel the Dog needs a home
NIGEL
Nigel is a currently 20 pound, neutered male. His estimated birthdate is 2/22/17. Our guess is he is a lab/rat terrier mix.
Nigel came to the animal control facility with a partially severed tail due to a traumatic injury. He now has a cute little nubby tail.
Nigel is a gem! He is a high energy puppy who likes to play and cuddle. He is relatively quiet and would do well in most residential settings with a yard. He will need an active person or family to keep him happy. He is good in a crate and progressing in potty training. Like most juvenile puppies he will need additional training to be completely house trained. Nigel gets along with other dogs and has shown no aggression towards the cats in his foster home.
He is current on age appropriate vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He comes with a health certificate.
His preferred home has a secure fenced in yard, another dog to play with, someone home enough to give him the time, attention, and training a puppy his age requires, and because of his sharp puppy teeth, no children under 10.
Nigel is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. Local adopters must meet same requirements as out of state adopters.
Nigel is available through the City of Lytle Animal Care and Control. Adoption fee is $185, and transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185.
