Adopt a German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd Dog Dog

Eli the Dog needs a home

Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Eli is a handsome two year old GSD who was transferred from a shelter where he was brought in as a stray and his owner never came to retrieve him. Shelter reports say he's good with other dogs and people, but daycare has been overwhelming for him. We will post more as we get to know him. Update: Eli has settled in at a foster home that he shares with two adults and several other dogs and his foster mom reports that he's doing well. He was initially fearful of other dogs, but with show introductions, he does fine. However, he is not a candidate for dog parks. He's house trained, crate trained, loves people and is a high energy boy but not a high drive dog. He is possessive of his food and would need to be fed separately if another dog is present. Eli's adoption fee is $300 and he'll need an experienced handler.

Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available.

We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.
