Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier (short coat)
Jack / CP the Dog needs a home
Here's Jack! He has his own website: https://adoptjack.weebly.com
Jack is a young Jack Russell Terrier Mix. He came to our clinic back in December after being found injured and cold by one of our clients. We discovered that Jack had been shot twice with a pellet gun. Once in the left front leg and once in the chest. Upon preforming x-rays, we found that the pellet in his chest had gone completely through his body and was lodged under the skin on the other side. Sadly, this did not give us high hopes for Jack's recovery. However, with a treatment of only antibiotics and pain medication Jack has made a miraculous recovery! Despite an exhaustive search Jack's family was never found. So, Jack is now searching for a new home.
He is an amazing little guy. He's funny and playful, and just loves to be with people. At just under 30lbs, he's the perfect size for a house dog. He loves long walks and playing fetch, but he also enjoys cuddling on the couch. He seems to like other dogs and completely ignored the cat we introduced him to (even though the cat did not enjoy meeting Jack). Although we've never tried him with small children, he'll let you pull his ears and tail without a fuss. He never messes in his kennel or chews anything up. Jack is very smart and should be easy to train.
Jack is up to date on his vaccines and heartworm negative. He still needs to be neutered and during that surgery will have the pellet removed from his side (the one in his leg doesn't seem to be a bother). If you're interested in giving Jack the forever home he is located at Veterinary Medical Center of Glasgow, KY. Adoption fee is $100 to cover the cost of his surgery.
