Baltimore Humane Society, founded in 1927 by Mrs. Elsie Seeger Barton, is an independent, non-profit, no-kill animal shelter, which offers a low-cost Spay, Neuter, & Vaccine Clinic to the public, and a pet cemetery with grief support services. We receive no operational funding from the local or federal governments, or any national animal welfare organizations. Baltimore Humane Society strives to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals by promoting and offering affordable spaying and neutering to control the population of unwanted animals in our area and addressing the issues that cause people to give up animals. Its low-cost Spay, Neuter, & Vaccine Clinic is open to anyone in the public. Bâ??more Humane also works to advance the cause of the humane treatment of animals and increase awareness of animal issues through public education. Presentations are given to groups of all sizes and ages both on and off site. Finally, Baltimore Humane Society ensure a peaceful resting place for beloved pets through the operation of a beautiful and well-maintained cemetery for companion animals. A variety of tributes and services are available to the public including a free pet grief support group.
