The mission of Power of the Paw is to provide the animals in need with a safe haven through responsible rescue, transportation, foster and adoption and to educate the community about the importance of responsible pet ownership. Our main focus is those in kill shelters that are â??less adoptableâ? due to age, color, or breed. Power of the Paw is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization. WE got our start in 2011 as a Facebook page dedicated to share those animals in danger in our local kill shelters, to bring awareness to the community. Since then, we have helped transport over 1,000 animals from kill shelters to other no-kill rescues across the country, and have adopted out hundreds of animals in our own adoption program.
