(NOT A LEASHLESS PARK) This is a people park too. Dogs are allowed in the people park on leash. The dog park is small but nicely maintained. It has a 4 foot fence. There is a beautiful crystal clear creek running through the park that the dogs are allowed to play in on leash. We happened on a dog walk sponsored by the Avery Humane Society and met many nice dog loving people. Location: Route 194, Main Street (?). Directions: Downtown Banner Elk on 194. Behind the Town Hall and Bank of America.
