The Benefits of Pet Insurance

Medical Insurance for your Pet.

The medical field is progressing more and more every day, and Veterinary Medicine is no exception. Studies and statistics show that 1 in 3 pets will need unplanned or unexpected healthcare every year. And the more progress that vet medicine makes, the more expensive it becomes to take care of an ill pet unfortunately. So there are two questions I have for you, 1- How much do you want to spend on your pet’s healthcare and wellbeing, and 2- Do you need a pet insurance plan? Here are a few things to consider.

- A very important aspect of pet insurance that needs to be remembered is the fact that not all Pet Insurance policies are the same. If you’re thinking of getting a policy for your pet, do the research! The internet can help you find policies within your price range. Also talk to your Vet and find out what policies they accept and ask if they have recommendations on Pet Insurance policies. They’ll also be able to explain what’s covered under the policy.
- Pet Insurance covers the Vet bills for most illnesses and procedures, depending on your policy. The cost of Pet Insurance can be affordable to almost everyone. Monthly payments can start between $20 and $50. Of course the more that the policy covers the more expensive your monthly payment can be. But consider this, without a policy, a disease like intervertebral disc disease could cost you $3000.00 out of pocket. So a Pet Insurance policy would give you peace of mind that your pet will be cared for properly for a minimal cost, and $20-$50 a month is a small price to pay for security.
- Another good reason to get a Pet Insurance policy would be if your pet is very valuable financially. Now every pet is valuable to us emotionally. But I’m talking about pets that are purebreds used for breeding by licensed breeders, Show animals, or if you have invested a lot of money in specific training of your pet. Pet Insurance protects your investment in the animal.

Pet Insurance gives each pet owner the peace of mind they need when it comes to their pet’s healthcare, and with all of the unconditional love, affection and loyalty they give us, aren’t the worth it?
