History: The Alaskan klee kai was developed as a companion dog during the 1970s through crosses of Alaskan husky, Siberian husky, Amrican Eskimo and schipperke breeds.
Physical Description: The Alaskan klee kai is a small dog that resembles a miniature Siberian husky. It has a wedge-shaped head with a black or snow-colored nose and almond-shaped eyes of any shade. The tail curls over the back. There is a double coat in gray and white or black and white; sometimes hints of red can be found. The markings are symmetrical, and there is a distinct mask.

Temperament: The Alaskan klee kai is affectionate and loyal with its family but alert and wary with strangers. It is protective of its home and family, making am excellent watchdog. It requires socialization. This dog may not get along with children, and it has a strong prey drive. It is often described as catlike in its fastidiousness.
