Dog barking noise ordinance laws

Written by:
Most cities enforce noise ordinances, and dog barking is considered a noise ordinance. If dogs are left outside all day long while their owners are away at work, they will often bark excessively. This may cause complaints from neighbors because it is very inconvenient and irritating, and they may report a complaint to the local police department or animal control agency. Owners of the barking dogs will usually first receive a written or verbal warning, and then possibly a cash fine if their dogs barking does not stop. In extreme cases, dogs may even be impounded for excessive barking.
