Pet preparation for natural disasters

Written by:
Another unfortunate part of life is natural or intentional disasters. There are many animal lives that are affected as well as human lives by disasters such as fire, tornado or explosions. There is nothing you can do to prevent those, but you can always be prepared to act in your dogs best interests. Today, many cities are taking that into consideration and they are including family pets into their emergency response plans. However, saving human lives will always be the firefighters top priority, so you are still largely responsible for the life of your dog. In case of a disaster, many cities have an animal control division or humane societies that will assist in animal rescue, but they may arrive late or may not get there at all. In case of a disaster, be prepared to help all of your animals.
