Several weeks ago I took in a very pleasant cat.  We have named him Gus. He is approximately 6-7 years old.

At our expense, he had a successful hernia operation but in the process was found to be positive for Feline Leukemia, seemingly confirmed by a rapid test 3 weeks later.  None the less, we have given him a home, allotting him a separate part of the house, as I have 2 other kitties who are healthy and I do not want to endanger them.

We are willing to provide for him for now but feel that he deserves more room and freedom as well as love (VIP) and care.

As much as we like having Gus with us, we know he needs a forever home where he can roam safely and freely, and most important, receive love and companionship. He would be ideal in a home with no other pets, or in a home with cats who already carry the FLV. The virus is not contagious to humans or other species of animals. Gus can have a good comfortable andreasonably long life if otherwise well-cared for.

So, if you are looking for a pal-to- stay of the feline persuasion, here’s your boy. I don’t think you would find a truer friend.
