Adopt a Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)
Ivory-PENDING the Dog needs a home
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.
IVORY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Ivory is a 1 year old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix pup who was adopted from us earlier this year and recently returned. The family had an invisible fence that she kept breaking through, and she's too strong to be contained on a tie out. For this reason, we will be looking to place her in a new home that has a physical fenced in yard. Ivory is a typical pup who loves to play, chew, and explore. Ivory can be a bit of a puller walking on the leash, but she is adjusting well to an easy walk harness. She loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy being in a home with another playful dog. Ivory is a bit too interested in cats so we are looking for a kitty-free home for her. She’s a very affectionate girl who loves people and, when playtime is over, loves to lounge around with her people on the couch. Ivory is very food-motivated and is a quick learner although she does have a bit of a stubborn streak—likely from the Pyr side of her family! She will do best with an experienced dog owner who will set boundaries for her and continue her training. She weighs 62 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations including Bivalent Canine Influenza, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies, wormed, heartworm tested and current on monthly heartworm preventative and on flea preventative.
All Canine Lifeline adoptions require the adopter to commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email [email protected] if you’re interested in Ivory. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junk mail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
