Adopt a Coonhound / Mixed

This ridiculously handsome coonhound mix is Bones!!  He is approximately 4-5 yrs old (estimate) and weighs around 50 lbs.  Bones was a stray that found himself in a shelter where he was very scared and not doing well.   So he became a Diamond and is now safe in a foster home.

     When Bones first arrived at his foster home he was very unsure of things. He knew nothing about life.  It was like having a brand new puppy but in an adult dogs body.  His foster mom was heartbroken to see how scared and unsure of everything this sweet boy was.  It seemed clear to her that he had never known the comforts of a home and simply had no life experiences. 

     Bones is now learning all about life and has come so far, but his new family will have to be patient with him and continue to guide him.  This boy is a complete love bug that just wants to be wherever his humans are.  He is very active and loves to run and play but also appreciates his downtime.  On his wishlist from his new family is lots of yummy treats, a good antler to chew,  some fun toys, someone that will enjoy his daily walks with him, a fenced in back yard where he can play and get his zoomies out, and most importantly a whole lot of LOVE!!! 

     Bones will do best in a home without small children.  This is because at times he is still fearful of new things ,  and he does have impaired vision (not blind and does not slow him down), so all of his family members should be old enough to understand and respect that.  Also no cats for this boy.  With proper introductions and slow integration Bones does ok with other dogs; however he does seem to prefer female dogs.   Of course a meet is always required to assess compatibility with any other dog.  Are you the special person this sweet boy has been searching for?  The one that will finally give him all he deserves and has sadly missed out on in his life?  If you would like to meet him to find out fill out your application today!!!
