Hi I’m Sabine. I’m four years old hound retriever mix. I’m easy going and lovable but I’m a little shy meeting new people, but if they have treats it goes a little easier, or if they have a dog. I love to play with dogs. I don’t know if I like cats, because my foster home doesn’t have cats.

I need a fenced in yard because I like to play and run outside, especially sprinting, you should see me chasing sticks or balls. I’m not sure about long distance running though, but you throw something… I’m on it!

Indoors I’m a real couch potato unless I play with my tennis balls, I especially like to remove the fuzz. I also like to chew my bones or ropes. Tug of war is my favorite play activity with my fosters.

If you don’t like me on your furniture or your bed, I’m not the dog for you.

I love treats and working on learning new tricks and since I’m very treat motivated, I love when my foster parents gets the clicker out, that means practice time, and many treats. I don’t like car rides, they stress me out but we are working on that. I’m getting better at meeting new people too, it takes a little time but I can be bribed. I don’t like a household with younger children, they make me nervous, so older, respectful children might be ok, but I have not tried that. Another reason for the older children is that when I play, I sometimes play a little rough.

I tolerate the crate but since I’m a well-behaved girl, I don’t need it, even if I’m alone in the house.
