Children in the home must be at least 6 years old.

Previous dog experience is required, preferably large breed.

Female Great Pyrenees rarely cohabitate with other females successfully. Our goal is for each adoption to be a permanent placement, therefore homes that already have a female dog are not eligible to adopt a female Pyr.

Meet Heather! She is the sweetest companion and loves to lay her head on your lap as you pet her gently. She can be timid, especially towards men, but we are finding she just needs a little more time to adjust to some people. Outside she has the most graceful prance as she moves through the yard...almost like a pony! She has learned to sit before meals and treats and is always eager to please. Heather is completely housebroken, and well behaved inside while you are gone - no need to crate this girl! She gets along beautifully with her foster's cats and male Pyr. Heather would do best in a quieter home, perhaps with older children. As her foster says, "she's an easy keeper". We dare you not to fall in love with this beautiful, amazingly sweet girl!

Fencing: Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
