Gracie the Dog needs a home
Gracie is a 4-year-old Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier mix and she recently arrived in NYC as one of the almost 200 animals that we rescued as a part of our Hurricane Harvey mission.
Gracie is the sweetest little lady and will be an amazing dog for someone that wants a calm and mellow pup. She is more than happy to curl up on the couch for naps (preferably by your side) and is super low-key and snuggable. She is a great walker outside, although sometimes the loud city noises (garbage trucks, mainly) get her a little spooked, but she's learning to love the streets of the city.
She responds to commands well and is easy to correct with a stern "no" — although trying to get past her chocolatey puppy eyes is seriously difficult. She is a great learner and is picking up on housetraining quickly (delicious treats help!). Grace is the perfect apartment dog and would do well with people that would rather "Netflix and chill" than go on adventures around the city.
She currently weighs 41 lbs.
