Whimsey the Dog needs a home
Meet Whimsey a 1-2 year old Chihuahua and elf mix. It’s hard to look past his adorable ears to see how handsome this little guy is! Whimsey had a rough start in life and needs to gain about 8 lbs as well as learn some basic manners. He’s doing really well with house training and does well in his crate. He is a ball of energy and really wants to spend time playing with his people. He really loves people and is super friendly. He does need instruction on when play is getting too rough so he would do better in a home with adults that are willing to work with him. He has been fine with the dogs in his foster home but is very energetic and wants to play all the time.
Whimsey is a wonderful pup and will make an amazing companion, with ears that can start a lot of conversations!

***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***
