Sprocket the Dog needs a home

Sprocket is my name and I am the best boy in the world. I have been patiently waiting for a chance to prove it to my forever family. I have had some pretty rough experiences. These are the parts of my life that I have chosen to forget, but people see them all over my body. Good fortune came my way when Eleventh Hour Rescue saved me from the streets of Jersey City. They cleaned me up and made sure I was fully recovered.


 


I am easy to take care of with a very short coat that needs occasional brushing mostly because I love it. I don't like to walk very far, but exercise is as important for my mind as it is for my body. I like to walk for about 15 minutes. I am built for comfort not for speed. I like to play with a jolly ball and to spend time outside sniffing around. I love to sit on a bench with a kissable human. I am a little shy with new people and I don't like loud noises. I will let you know I am unhappy about it by heading back indoors.


 


A greeting from me means hoisting my "low to the ground" little body up as close as I can get and giving lots of kisses. When it is time for you to go I will head for my comfy bed and settle in with a toy and a Nylabone to chew. I learned to sleep in my crate, too. I may need a little time to get used to sleeping in a crate again after having a kennel run for a while, but I am a smart boy!


 


Here are some obedience things I know: sit, down, stay, walking nicely on a leash with very little pulling.
