Alyssa the Dog needs a home
Who is this raven-coated beauty, you ask? Meet Alyssa, a volunteer-favorite around these parts! Alyssa is a Soi Dog rescued from the illegal dog meat trade in Southeast Asia by Soi Dog Foundation, our partner rescue based in Thailand. She and a group of her friends traveled from the SDF facility in Phuket and were flown stateside to The Barking Lot in November 2017. Alyssa is one of the most compact ones in the group, with a petite frame between 25-30 pounds. She has a sweet, friendly, submissive, docile, and easygoing personality. Though you may find her tail tucked in new situations that are unknown to her, we most commonly see it waving about happily out in the play yard in the company of her canine companions and familiar volunteers. Alyssa is best friends with Gordon, one of our largest Sois at least 3 times her size, and they make a funny odd couple. You only need to spend a few minutes with Alyssa to know that she is a total sweetheart. Alyssa is a little over 4 and a half years old as of January 2018 and she would love to settle into a forever home to call her own!
