Adopt a Boxer

Hi! My name is Ciri and even though it is spelled differently than the lady on your iPhone, it is pronounced the same way. As matter of fact, it’s kind of funny to hear people say my name and then yell at their phones to stop talking. But don’t worry, I’m a really good girl and you don’t have to say my name over and over again to get me to listen.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by profile. I was really hoping that you would click my profile and choose to learn a little bit about me. So let me tell you a little more about myself… I was found wondering the streets as a stray in Missouri City, Texas. As you can see the streets haven’t been very kind to me and I had some medical issues. (I’ll tell you a little bit more about that in a minute.) Thankfully, that didn’t stop anyone from helping me and I eventually ended up here, in a foster home, with Houston Boxer Rescue.

HBR has been getting me lots of medical help! You see, I have lost almost all of my fur because I had something called Demodex Mange, and I also had some other bacterial and yeast infections. I am grateful for the help, because now that I don’t have those infections anymore, my fur will grow back! And at the risk of sounding too vain, I am beautiful without my fur but just wait until you see me when all of my fur grows back! I will be gorgeous!!!

Now, I also have some nasty worms, I think they are called heartworms. Thankfully, I am getting treated for those too and I am expected to make a full recovery! So you see, even if I don’t look it now, I am (or will be) a very healthy, young, bouncy boxer girl!

But you know what? As we all know it is what is on the inside that counts. Not our looks. Right??? So let me tell you a little bit about my winning personality. I love other dogs. I love to snuggle with them and I love to play with them. I am a very social girl. Sometimes my foster fur-brothers and I also play with these things called dog toys.  Have you heard of them? They are super-duper fun and I have really learned to love them!

And as much as I love my fur-brothers, I love my foster family even more! I love my foster humans so much! I love giving them lots of love and I really love getting lots of TLC and attention, especially from the boy members of my foster family. And you know what? If we become a family I will love you the same! That is with my whole heart and unconditionally! So what do you say? Why don’t you fill out that adoption application and let’s meet in real life!
