Meet Lucy! Lucy is a beautiful black lab mix about 4 years old and 55 pounds. She spent much of her life in an outdoor kennel with her mom. Both leaving only rarely—never getting to play or run and cut loose...The dogs weren’t fed every day, and often they had only green water to drink.
She, like the others who lived so long in confinement, just need a gentle hand, clean clear water and consistent feeding...they are so grateful for every bit of love they are given, they make amazing companions...We know Lucy will do the same...She’s a sweet spirit! Lucy is now in a foster home learning how to be a cherished member of a family. She is crate trained and a total love! Lucy is shy at first especially with men but working on coming out of her shell. She LOVES other dogs! She deserves the best home!
Her foster mom says..."Lucy absolutely adores looking at herself in the mirror, often sleeps on her back (loves a good belly rub too) and frequently dreams and runs in her sleep (wiggles around/"runs" and flexes her paws). When she "cuts loose" she runs suuuper fast and does sprints in the yard. Loves to wiggle around on her back and entertain herself and eally enjoys music. She also crosses her front legs, very ladylike!"
