This gorgeous baby is Flora! She is a spayed female beagle mixed with possibly chihuahua? She is THE HAPPIEST little dog I've ever met! Flora is happy in every situation we've put her in. She has zero difficulties making friends with the other little dogs in her foster home and even lives fearlessly with the heavy footed Danes! Flora is house trained with the aid of a doggie door, and walks well on leash. She also enjoys being picked up and snuggled, and her small size makes her in ideal candidate for this! 


Flora's adoption fee is $200 and goes to cover the vetting she has received. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She has tested positive for heart worms, but has been started on and is well tolerating the slow kill method of treatment. SASPCA Homeward Bound Dog Rescue and San Antonio Great Dane Rescue are 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue groups based in San Antonio, Texas. 

 

Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year.

 


Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease.

All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative, leash and collar, and a 30-day trial of 24PetWatch Pet Insurance. 

Adopters will also receive a Petco Pet Parent Savings Books that contain:

• $100s in savings plus a coupon for a free 6 lb. bag of WholeHearted dog food.

• Thoughtful care tips.

• Online resources and support.

 


 

Our adoption events are held each Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232.  Event hours are typically 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If your adoption application is approved and you are traveling from out-of-town, we hold your chosen pet for one hour past the event start time to allow for travel time.

 

We do try to schedule bi-monthly meet-and-greets in Austin as interested is generated.

 


 

We are an all-volunteer organization and do not currently have the resources to process out-of-state adoptions.

 


 

Our puppies, purebred dogs, and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so we encourage interested parties to apply online.
