Baxter the Dog needs a home
Baxter and his running buddy, Bandit, were dumped in rural Missouri and found their way to a farm, whose owners took them in. Although the family loved the dogs and wanted to keep them, it soon became apparent that farm life was not a good fit for them, as they began chasing the cats and killing the chickens. So, reluctantly and sadly, both dogs were surrendered into rescue.
Baxter is a playful, active, friendly dog. He appears to be a Jack Russell terrier mix. The vet thinks he's about ten months old (as of 1/17/18). While he was there, he tried very hard not to relieve himself in his cage, holding it until someone took him outside, so he is probably crate trained and possibly housebroken. Unfortunately, since he's a cat-chaser, I can't bring him into the house to test that out.
He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and dosed with Revolution plus. He's good with other dogs and loves people. He weighs just under 16 pounds.
