Lucky Little Oliver the Cat needs a home
Say hello to lucky little Oliver, also known as Ollie: a feral cat who was rescued from a backyard in Brooklyn by a Good Samaritan. Little Oliver came to her backyard crying for help after a storm; when his rescuer took him in, she discovered that he had a broken hip, a shattered pelvis and, because of that, an intestinal blockage that would soon prove fatal. Though the vet recommended Oliver be put to sleep, his rescuer begged for him to be saved—and, surprising all predictions, he was!
Though Oliver was taken home with the warning that he likely wouldn’t survive for long, survive he did—and he’s continued to grow and thrive every day. Now, he’s an active, healthy cat who loves to run, jump, and play, and when you see him today, you’d never guess his rough beginnings. He defies every stereotype of a feral cat; all he wants to do is cuddle, purr, and snuggle.
While his kind rescuer would love to keep him, she is unfortunately allergic to cats and living in a small apartment, which isn’t the ideal situation for her or Oliver. Now, having helped Ollie to thrive, she’s searching for the best home for the love-bug whose life she saved against the odds.
Oliver is approximately 4.5 years old, neutered, and fiv/felv-negative. He’s up to date on his shots and even had a dental cleaning recently. If you would like to meet Oliver (and fall in love with him!) please contact Belinda at [email protected].
