Reyka the Dog needs a home
ISO a special adopter for a special boy! Reyka is a handsome young pittie mix. He came to SAAP with a severe bacterial skin infection on his underside and was so timid he would not come of his crate. After a few months in his foster home he is healthy and has progressed to coming out of his crate and engaging in play with the other dogs in his foster home. Reyka is still hesitant with humans and has a flight response. We are continuing to work on human interaction and building confidence. He is sweet and quiet. We have yet to hear him bark and he has not displayed any type of aggression. He will need a special adopter who will love him unconditionally and is committed to continue to work with him on confidence building, human contact interaction, understanding what it is to be a dog, leash training, and outside potty training. Reyka is 35lbs and enjoys chew bones and doggie toys/ropes. He is observant and would benefit from having other dogs in the house, which should assist with him taking cues on interactions and how to be a dog.
