Lovable - Playful - Curious Cute must be Calcifer's middle name! This sweet orange-and-white kitty is all chirps and cuddles. You read that correctly - when he wants your attention, he'll adorably chirp to get it! An affectionate fellow, he's happiest being held in your arms or curling up in your lap. His lovable nature extends to feline friends as well. Calcifer can often be found wrestling with or grooming his cat companions at the shelter. Warmhearted as he is, his ideal forever home would include a kitty roommate or humans who are home often and love to play (especially when toys are involved!). Calcifer is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. Calcifer is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats.
