Adopt a Domestic Long Hair (long coat)
Sam the Cat needs a home
Who has 8 toes and lots of love to give? This GUY!!!
Looking for a Guard-en Cat??? Sam would love it best as an outdoor cat with lots of time to roam the back yard or garden. He would be the perfect shop or barn cat. Some of his favorite activities are climbing tree trunks, playing in plants, and chasing wildlife.
Cons: It's not recomended to be barefoot around Sam. Sam will bite your feet when he’s unhappy, or playful. Sam was not socialized in his previous environment so he uses his teeth for expression. (This is not a gentile bite, this will hurt! This may require you to pry him off your foot)
Pros: He’s very loyal, and will meet you at the front door when he hears your vehicle approaching. Loves to be around people and animals. He’s easily picked up and moved. He’s very friendly on his own terms, and stays close to the house.
Sam caretakers will need to be aware of his behaviors and show restraint when he acts. For this reason Sams adoption fee is flexable for the right situation.
Background
Sam was surrendered to IAATC to give him the medical attention he needed. Sam’s injuries include dislocated/broken toes (two which had to be amputated) and loss of skin to both hind legs. Sam’s condition was reported by a concerned neighbor to a local IAATC Volunteer. Sam’s aggression towards feet may be the direct result of this trauma.
