Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Domestic Short Hair (short coat) Cat

Chelsea the Cat needs a home

It's always difficult for all involved when a senior citizen must part with their senior pet. In this case, it certainly was. Chelsea (and her housemate, Charlie) were sadly separated from the only home they would remember when their owner developed memory issues and could no longer remain in her own home.

After a few days at the rescue, it was clear they were not adapting well so foster homes were found. Charlie has been placed in a long-term foster, while Chelsea was in a foster where she could be monitored for her hyperactive thyroid condition. Now her dosage has been adjusted and she is on a twice-daily maintenance regime and ready to find a permanent home or a long-term foster situation -- the rescue will assume any vet costs for a foster situation.

Chelsea is petite and gentle. As a senior kitty, she is calm and quiet and loves human interaction. She would do best as an only cat, where she can get the attention she deserves.
