Gus is a very good boy who is house trained and knows basic commands. He loves going for walks and does well on a leash. A stroll around the neighborhood makes him really happy, and he's friendly with all the dogs he meets. He has lived with a kitty who sparked his interest occasionally; he should be fine in a home with a dog-savvy cat.
Gus will fall head-over-heels in love with you and will want to sleep on the floor near you at night. He's loyal and sweet and has lots of fun energy. He's also good at barking to let you know someone has arrived, but he settles down quickly and is friendly with new people.
Gus had a low grade mass cell tumor removed from his leg. He should continue to be monitored for growths.
Gus came to POMDR when his guardian could no longer care for him. He was adopted and in a happy home, but then one of his guardians passed away and the other entered assisted living, so he is back with us looking for another loving home.
