Adopt a German Shepherd Dog (medium coat)
Lena the Dog needs a home
Here’s how Lena came to join Coastal:
“And then there was Lena, same shelter. She was the sweetest girl, loved everyone, but she had mammary tumors. She wasn’t even put in public view. We were going in with the possibility of another medical dog. One may ask why? Sometimes when you do what’s right, thing just work out. We met her while we were checking on Hank’s paperwork. She made her way around the office greeting everyone. It was obvious she had made friends and was a great dog.
And then the contact there came up with idea of having her spayed there. Not a novel idea, shelters do that all the time. In Lena’s case, she was able to get the vet to remove the mammary tumors at the same time they did the spay. She was going home, at least to rescue where she has a chance for a home.”
YAY for Lena!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.
Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next!
