Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)
Pixie the Cat needs a home
All HSWC animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.
Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
SPECIAL
GIRL She has epilepsy and will have to take medicine twice a day for the rest of her life! But she is reacting very very well to the medication and is such a sweetheart!!!!!
Pixie is a very very sweet girl. She likes to sit near you and roll on her back and have her belly rubbed like a dog. She will tell you vocally when she would like a snack by going into the kitchen and meowing very loudly. She gets along with dogs and cats even though it takes a day or two to adjust to them. She always uses the litter box like a good girl. She likes to sit near you while you work and watch the cursor move. she taker her medication twice a day pretty easily. She loves to sit in the window and watch outside...
