Phoenix the Dog needs a home
Like a phoenix born from the flames, Phoenix is a consummate survivor! Phoenix is a Soi Dog rescued from the illegal dog meat trade in Southeast Asia by Soi Dog Foundation, our partner rescue based in Thailand. She and a group of his friends traveled from the SDF facility in Phuket and were flown stateside to The Barking Lot in August 2017. Like most Soi Dogs we have brought over, Phoenix comes housebroken. She greets us with a wagging tail every morning, then darts right outside to a corner to do her business. Aside from her uniquely good looks, Phoenix has a sweet, outgoing, affectionate, mellow, and lovable personality to match. This 45-pound lady is great with other dogs, meeting new people, and greeting familiar faces. At 6 years and 4 months old as of September 2017, Phoenix is ready to settle into a forever home to call her own!
