DOG'S DESCRIPTION

Buford is an all around great guy! He adores people and is great with other dogs! His temperament is actually so great that the shelter often used him to help test the other dogs for friendliness. Buford is the nicest dog we have in our care right now. He is a lover who loves to give kisses and his tongue is always sideways with happiness. He loves to put his giant head in your lap and stare at you lovingly. He is great with people of all sizes. He is an all around perfect big boy who also gives hugs. He would be great dog for any situation.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
