Tux - Barn Cat the Cat needs a home
There is something very appealing about Tux. He was seen in a cat lover's yard some time ago looking very much in need of some good meals. The lady began putting food out for him and his condition soon began to look much better. Meanwhile, he invited several friends to join him at the great restaurant he had discovered. When trapping commenced, Tux and his buddies all quickly entered Cat Shack foster care.
Tux is a feral cat who initially wanted nothing to do with his foster Mom, but soon got over that when he figured out that she was the new source of his tasty food. He most likely will never allow himself to be petted, but is no longer highly fearful and will be a visible presence around your barn and property as he enjoys life and fulfills his job requirements. Tux has been neutered, ear-tipped, vaccinated and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He will be a delightful and helpful addition to your homestead. He is estimated by the vet to be 2 years old as of November 2017.
Our barn cats are always adopted in pairs, at a minimum, and Tux would like to be adopted with Tortilla, a tortoiseshell who was one of his buddies at the original feeding station. Please see Tortilla's separate posting. Additional good friends are also available!
