Adopt a Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat)

Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) Cat

Jimmy the Cat needs a home

Born 11/12/05

Jimmy came to AC PAW malnourished and weak from being on his own for a long time. A caring family who was concerned for his welfare brought him to AC PAW. We are not sure what Jimmy's past was like or why he was abandoned. We know he was someone's cat at one time. His fur was so matted that most of it had to be shaved off. Since he has been with us he has gained his weight back and is growing a beautiful coat of soft light brown fur. The family who found him thought he was a younger cat, but Jimmy is closer to 10 years old.

Jimmy has a sensitive stomach, so he needs to stay on limited ingredient wet food. He has been eating grain free canned cat food and has done well on that. He is such a sweet cat and is very gentle. However, he is timid around strangers and may take a while to become comfortable with people. Jimmy would probably be best in a quiet home as an only cat as he is easily stressed out. He has an alpha personality, so he can get along with other cats, but it has to be on his terms. We’re not sure how he will be around dogs or small children. He responds when you whistle at him. He loves to play with his toys and chase laser pointer dots. Jimmy also enjoys soft music and likes it when you sing to him. If you'd like to meet Jimmy we will happily set up a meet and greet with his foster family. We know you'll fall in love with him.
