Adopt a Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat)

Hi meet Tater Tot!  He is a 2 year old male Chihuahua mix.  Tater Tot is a sweet little guy who had a rough start in life.  He was found as a stray covered head to toe in ticks.  He was so weak when he was found that he was unable to stand on his own.  Thankfully he pulled through and got his energy back.  Tater Tot has been living in a foster home with big and little dogs.  Tater Tot likes men and women but should not be placed in a home with young children.  He played a lot with another foster dog so it would be wonderful if he was adopted into a home with another playful dog his size.  Tater loves his toys and has a very silly side to him when he gets a burst of energy and runs around the house like he’s being chased.  He does not use the dog door and his foster Mom believes it’s because he is pint sized (about 7 lbs) and the dog door is huge so it might be a bit daunting for him.  He is not super athletic so he does not jump up on the furniture but still loves to snuggle on the couch at night with his foster Mom and the other dogs in the home.  He will sleep in a dog bed on the floor but prefers to sleep in the tiny dog bed behind his foster Mom’s head at night.  He rides awesome in the car and does well in an out of a travel kennel.  Tater Tot does need time to warm up to new people and needs a family that understands how to correct him when he thinks he’s the “boss”.  He does really well with love and understanding and is a super happy, loving little man whose tail is always wagging.  Tater Tot would do well in an active or low activity home.  If you think Tater Tot would make a great addition to your home please call his foster Mom Lori at 602-918-9430 so she can tell you just how special he is or to set up a meet and greet.  His adoption fee is $220.00.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed and vet checked.  His adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance and a free vet visit.
