Meet Joel.
He is about one year old with an approximate birthdate of 1/1/2017.
He was found as a stray in Arkansas and no one claimed him, so he ended up at a shelter.
The best guess as to Joel's breed is a Jack Russell Terrier with some mystery breeds that have gifted him with his adorable short legs and curled tail.
He is an impressive looking dog with a personality to match.
He weighs about 20 lbs. which makes him the perfect size to snuggle with on the couch, or wrestle with on the floor.
After only one week in his foster home, Joel is doing well with pottying outside on a schedule.
He can spend 8+ hours in his crate without barking, but he can also be trusted with limited roam.
Joel does not pull when walking on a leash.
Joel gets along well with all other dogs he has met and is always excited to play.
His initial response to meeting new animals, even cats, is a "play bow".
If a cat is willing to play, Joel is ready!
He loves meeting new people!
He does jump, though, so he might knock over really young children in his initial excitement.
Joel loves chewing on bones, playing tug, and chasing and wrestling with other dogs.
