Adopt a Domestic Short Hair
Red-barn cat the Cat needs a home
Notes from the adopter: Red has personality. He's a riot and very motivated by food. He's lovable and affectionate. He is really funny, but I can't stand what he's doing to my old guys. At 2 years old, I think Red would be better living in a home with cats his own age or where he is the only cat. Red is the youngest of my five cats and the other 4 are seniors. Red is young and wants to play with the other cats but they want to be left alone and are terrified of him. I love this little guy, but he needs to be rehomed.
He's up to date on all his shots with Walnut Hill Vet and neutered. Can you help me find him new digs? He goes inside/outside.
10/29/13 Red is one lucky boy!! He was outside with a badly broken leg but came limping up to two teenage boys who were outside in Kennett Square and purred as soon as they picked him up. They decided they couldn't leave him there so carried him across town to the Paws & Claws Pet Store to ask if they could help rescue him. They called TreeTops and we got him to the vet and into foster care.
Notes from the foster mom: Here's my take on him: I love him! He's come a long way since he was found. We call him Red. He's a lover, a snuggler, a funnyman, and all around great cat, as most red cats are which is why I took him in. He gets along with my four other older cats although they would prefer to be left alone. He used the litter pan right away. My only complaint about him is he jumps on the counter when you are preparing food. In defense of that, after a few good stern "NO"s, and placed immediately back on the floor, he seems to get the message.
And did I say he was affectionate, and lovable, and purrs like a motorboat. I think he would do best in a home without dogs. This guy just wants love, love, love.
