Whitesocks the Dog needs a home
The story of White Socks- Lost his sweet German Shepherd mix mom in April 2016. They escaped from the yard and only White Socks returned. These two were inseparable so we think something bad happened to the mom, Sydney. White Socks has been very sad ever since. These two would spend a lot of time under the house as it was very cool. As White Socks got bigger he had trouble getting out from under the house and ended up partially tearing his ACL. The owner finally blocked the entrance to get under the house in an effort to help White Socks heal. We are monitoring his use of the leg and will get him back to doctor for treatment if necessary. The owner cannot afford to pay for medical treatment so we do this for White Socks. In February, White Socks got out of the yard and was missing for about a week. We put up posters and asked people in the neighborhood to be on the lookout. White Socks showed up at home finally but then was outside the fence the next day when Angie went to feed. Angie talked to the owner about being sure the gate is closed and I guess he couldn't be bothered so told Angie to take the dog. White Socks has been so happy to have a new home with other doggies to play with. White Socks had entropic surgery on his eyes so they tend to droop a little. He loves belly rubs, walks well on leash, seems to like bigger dogs rather than small dogs and usually is fine with cats. He is current on vaccinations. He is just a big ole sweetheart.
