We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Male, neutered, about 6 months old (as of February 2018), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, will be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee $110.
This handsome boy loves to be held like a baby and just purrs up a storm. Quartz wants to be by you all the time. He comes to the door purring when you come home because he is so happy that he will get cuddle time. He loves to play with any toy that has a feather on it. Quartz has very plush fur to ensure that you won't want to stop petting him because he is so soft to touch and he is purring to show how much he is enjoying your bonding time. He has no issues with dogs, cats, and even toddlers. In fact, he loves sleeping very close to our dog. If Quartz wins over your heart then you will be one lucky family!
If you are interested in meeting Quartz, you can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat. Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way.

If you’re invited to meet an animal, plan to arrive on time or early,
as we cannot hold animals.
All household members must be present at time of adoption, including dogs.
