Bearlock the Dog needs a home
Bearlock is a gorgeous shepherd blend. It takes some time for Bear to get comfortable with you but once he does, he is a loving and loyal companion. This senior boy still loves to romp and play with his favorite volunteers. Bearlock would do best in an experienced household that will give him the time to adjust and get to know you. A note from his favorite volunteer:
Bearlock is one big, mushy, very handsome boy. After he gets to know you he loves you forever. He is so affectionate that one of his favorite volunteers calls him "care bear". Bearlock loves walks, playing ball and watermelon. His favorite game is to tease you with a ball. He wants you to chase him or pull the ballt out of his mouth. If you don't succeed he throws the ball in the air in front of you with a big smirk on his face. Bearlock needs a home that will love & respect him and kiss him every day. He loves being around people that he likes. He is a bit nervous around new people so he is not someone you just bring up to new people and let them pet him. He also wants to he the only animal in the house.
The Shelter software sytstem requires that we choose a predominant bree or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to sleect your new companion by considering each dog's individual personanlity and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
