Adopt a Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Gus (MS) the Dog needs a home
3-year-old Gus weighs a healthy 16 lbs. and favors the short-legged Rattie body style sometimes known as a "Type B" or Teddy Roosevelt Terrier. He is a carefree and curious, happy-go-lucky youngster who loves to explore and play outdoors. Gus is a busy boy, always on the move. Chasing tennis balls is a favorite game for him. Indoors he is a snuggler, definitely a lap dog. And at night he wants to be in the bed with his human, under the covers of course, curled up behind their knees. In other words, he's all Rat Terrier, and that's why we love'em! Gus is reliably house-trained and accustomed to using a dog door. Gus has never been around children. While he'd probably be ok with bigger kids, he can get pretty rowdy when he is running and playing and that might be too much for a toddler or pre-schooler to handle. He generally gets along with other dogs. Gus would love to be a part of an active household that would include him in their activities. He hasn't had much formal training, but he's a great age for learning. He's an athletic little guy and might really enjoy training for one of the dog sports.
