Yes, Roofus is a GIRL and she is a total purr machine! There is a reason for our madness in selecting her unusual name, as Roofus has quite a story to tell!
Sweet Roofus was stranded on the roof of a second-story condominium in Otay Mesa for 10 days before she was finally coaxed down into a waiting trap filled with food. Many people had tried to figure out how to rescue her and were extremely worried for her safety. She managed to survive up there through a terrible winter San Diego rain storm and she made quite a stir on Facebook. Thanks to the diligent efforts of ARWOB volunteers, she was finally rescued and is safe and sound!
