Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Socko the Cat needs a home
Socko is a striking, petite cat, who was surrendered to a shelter because she wasn't eating well, and it was soon discovered that she just needed her teeth cleaned! She is eating like a champ now and especially loves chicken and gravy.
She has a shy side and shows it at adoption fairs by hiding her face (and her whole self if she is able to), so needs a little time to open up. However, once she feels at home she is a social butterfly, and she loves to follow you around the house and lean into you for pets, purring all the while. If you don't pay enough attention to her she expresses her displeasure by giving you a little bat with her paw, as if to say " hey, remember me? " She has a lovely squeaky meow and loves to talk to whoever will listen.
Socko is inquisitive and adventurous and likes to see the world from above, spending time in her cat tree, monitoring all she can see...or she will spend her time on a shelf knocking things off, or climb up on the bathroom sink to oversee your tooth brushing, or jump on the headboard of your bed to...well you get the idea. She knows all the proper cat behavior such as climbing in open drawers and suitcases or exploring boxes and bags and is always happy to help with household chores if she can.
She is just meeting the other cats in her foster home and shows a friendly interest so she would probably be fine with other animals after a proper introduction. She is ready to move on to a new adventure with a loving family, maybe yours!
