Then we have just the dog for you! This is Arby! He's sweet, super active and looking for a forever human who's super active, too, and who'd LOVE to work with him and train him to do all kinds of amazing stuff! He appears to be a Black Labrador Retriever about a year old. He's currently residing in a kennel situation so he will need house training. Crate training is in progress, and although he walks on a leash, he's a puller so he'll need some work on that, and he is reactive to other dogs when on-leash. He rides well in the car and likes to look out the window. He's playful and friendly, but can be a bit hyper when meeting new people. Kids and cats are an unknown at this point. He does get along well with other dogs when off-leash - he plays a bit rough. He can be a goofy boy, but he's smart and would greatly benefit from obedience classes. It's also a great opportunity to get in some quality bonding time between a pup and his human. Arby would most likely also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games. He will need a good amount of exercise each day and a fenced yard would be ideal for this, but if not an option then lots of daily leash walks along with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park should tire him out. A tired dog is a good dog, they say!
This handsome boy was picked up as a stray by Animal Control in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, in October 2017. He was recently adopted but returned in a couple of days because he chased his adopter's goats. Medical Note: This dog tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. This does not mean that this dog had ehrlichia.
