Cuddly, Relaxed, Friendly Max is a sweet senior, with the cutest little scruffy chin! This debonair gentleman wants nothing more than to spend his golden years enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Nap filled days are his main desire and if you sit down next to him, he'll immediately crawl into your lap and cozily curl up for the ultimate in snoozing comfort! Max may not be as spry as he was in his younger days, but he still will give the laser pointer a run for its money now and then. He loves drinking out of the shower faucet and will patiently wait near it until you turn it on. When Max sees you in the morning, he will give you a hearty "hello" meow, but you won't hear a peep out of him at night. He loves having his gorgeous coat brushed, one of the secrets to his dapper look! We haven't seen Max with kids. But, considering his loving demeanor, we think he'd be very affectionate around kind children. He is very tolerant of the young cat in his foster home. Although, he may let out a warning hiss if the other kitty tries to play with him...just keeping the young-uns in line! Before his stay with APA!, Max had been declawed. As a result of this he must remain an indoor cat. Max was so distressed by the chaotic shelter environment that he quit eating and lost weight while he was there. But, his appetite is improving more and more each day now that he's in a foster home. He mostly has health issues typical of any senior kitty. He does take twice daily medication to keep his digestive system running smoothly. Time away from the shelter has helped in that area too. No doubt...comfort, relaxation and serenity are a game changer for this sweetheart!
