Charleston the Dog needs a home
I am called Charlie for short. I am a sweet, apricot Poodle. I’m proud of my unusual color. I must be groomed regularly or my coat will be matted and uncomfortable for me. I don’t shed and if someone in the family is allergic to dogs, they might not be allergic to me. I was found in a grocery store parking lot but soon was placed in a wonderful home. Unfortunately, my Dad is undergoing chemo treatments and I have had to be all alone all day for many days. For a little dog who loves people, this made me very sad. It broke their hearts but my family loved me enough to give me up so I could have a family who could spend more time with me. I don’t like crates very much so I would prefer not to have to be in one. I love to go outside and if I’m taken out often, I will go potty most of the time outside.
I get along well with other dogs. I am not aggressive with cats, but if they hiss at me I get scared and I bark at them.
I am hoping that someone will have room for me in their bed.
I’m only 10 pounds, so I won’t take up much room. I am happy to sleep on your lap for long periods of time or I love to run all around the yard at break neck speed. I think I’m pretty wonderful.

Adoption fee for Charleston is $250.
Adopter for Charleston must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston Area and be at least 25 years old.
A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.
The Adoption Events where Charleston can be met are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Blvd.
All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Please come visit with us on Saturday!
