Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (medium coat)

Domestic Short Hair (medium coat) Cat

*ZENA the Cat needs a home

Rodent Problem? No Problem!
Our `blue collar kitties` take pest control very seriously. They will work around the clock to manage your rodent problem in your home, barn, or business.

Who are our Working Cats?
Some cats are not social enough to live as indoor pets, and prefer an independent lifestyle. These cats have experience living outdoors and are proficient mousers. Since these kitties are happier and more successful outdoors, we put them to work in homes, farms, and businesses where they can do what they do best. All our blue collar kitties are spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Why hire a Working Cat?
By hiring a blue collar kitty, you can avoid using toxic pesticides, save money on a pest control service, and provide a home to a cat in need. Adoption fees are waived for our Working Cats. Cats are also more effective than other methods of pest control because they act as a deterrent!

What do I need to provide for my Working Cat?
Though working cats mostly take care of themselves, they need some assistance from you to keep them healthy and safe. We ask that you keep your new working cat contained in your barn, shop, or warehouse for 3-4 weeks in order for them to acclimate to their surroundings and establish a `home base.` After that, they will need access to their sheltered home base, fresh water and dry food daily, a clean litterbox, and future medical care if needed. Working Cats should be kept in a safe, sheltered space during inclement weather.
